Types of dives by boat
🌊 Deep Dive – Santorini's Blue Abyss
Go beyond the sunlight, where silence begins.
Santorini’s volcanic seabed offers the perfect setting for a deep dive — descending beyond 30 meters, into the calm, quiet depth where light fades and pressure grows.
This is a dive of focus and fascination. Watch as the colors change, your buoyancy sharpens, and the seascape becomes more mysterious. Along the way, you'll encounter steep drop-offs, hidden marine life, and a sense of weightless solitude.
🧭 Depth: 30–40+ meters
🎯 For certified Deep Divers.
🐟 Encounters: Groupers, scorpionfish, barracuda, and sometimes rays
💡 Highlights: thermoclines, volcanic rock beds, surreal stillness
> “A deep dive in Santorini is not about what you see — it’s about what you feel, suspended in the bluest silence of the Aegean.”
🧱 Wall Diving – Santorini Caldera
Dive along the edge of a volcano.
Santorini’s volcanic caldera offers one of the most breathtaking wall dives in the Aegean. As you descend along the vertical drop, you’ll glide beside lava-sculpted cliffs that plunge dramatically into the deep blue.
Covered in colorful sponges, algae, and swaying sea fans, the wall creates a stunning backdrop for marine life. Small caves and ledges provide shelter to groupers, moray eels, and nudibranchs, while the sheer sense of depth adds to the thrill.
📍 Dive site: Inside the caldera, near Nea Kameni or other southern formations
🌊 Depth: 10 to 18+ meters
🎯 Suitable for: Open Water and Advanced divers
🌟 Highlights: dramatic drop-offs, blue water hovering, stunning visibility
> “Wall diving in Santorini is like flying beside a submerged volcano — silent, vast, and unforgettable.”
🕳️ Cave Diving – Messa Pigadia, Santorini
Where shadow meets light beneath the cliffs.
Hidden along Santorini’s southern coastline lies Mesa Pigadia, a striking dive site known for its volcanic cave formations carved into the island’s wild rock face.
Enter a world of contrasts — from open blue to enclosed tunnels, archways, and gentle swim-throughs sculpted by time and lava. Light beams shine through openings, illuminating the cave’s textures and the marine life that calls it home.
🌊 Depth: 7-12meters
⚠️ Ideal for: confident Open Water divers and above
🐟 Look out for: cardinalfish, shrimp, moray eels, and cave-dwelling invertebrates
> “Mesa Pigadia is not just a cave dive — it’s a moment of silence, shadow, and light in motion.”
